Meet Sheridan
Sheridan Alford is an Environmental Educator, currently the Director of Community Engagement at Birds Georgia, with a Master of Natural Resources in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from the University of Georgia. Her fieldwork has taken her across the American South and led her to work with PBS Nature, Oboz Footwear, and others to enhance the minority experience within the outdoors. She strives to cultivate community opportunities by creating strategic and reciprocally-beneficial partnerships with aligned stakeholders to promote positive and impactful experiences for all. “I create spaces for individuals to thrive and work together towards the strategic goal in a cohesive manner.” Sheridan is passionate about citizen science, accessbile involvement, and the benefits of ecotherapy for mental health.
